   I’m considering exploring IT as a career choice and found this book here on Amazon. I was beside myself with joy when I looked at the Table of Contents and thought to myself that this is the perfect book to outline what I should do to break into IT. I was disappointed because it give a great overview of how to find a job, but does not cover the various certifications and degrees and what kinds of jobs can be secured with that knowledge. For example: Technical Support, what steps do I have to take to find employment for someone who knows nothing about this industry at all? What classes should I take? What certification should I get? Is getting a Microsoft Certification enough to find employment as a Technical Support Specialist or do I need a college degree as well?

   For someone already in the industry or someone who already knows the direction they want to take, then this book is perfect for you as it gives you all you need to know to find a job.

   Building your IT Career

   A very good book. The way in which it was organized was very specific, controlled, and makes a great reference.

   In most reference books, it took a long time for authors to realize that longer isn’t necessarily better. In this book, the chapters are very concise and allow for the quick finding of the data that is most pertinent for the reader. Each individual chapter is cross-referenced against each other allowing for someone to find out not only about ‘resumes’, for example, but how to structure your resume, how to direct it to people’s specific needs, and they are able to get ‘in and out’ quick to answer their questions.

   This book covers a lot of basics, but also covers so many items that people overlook. When I read the book, there were so many little facts that I’d have taken for granted, but were mentioned in details to prevent missing the obvious.

   I’d recommend this book to anyone across the range in the IT industry who is looking for a better job to the person just emerging from college looking to break into this field. Go get this book and it’ll help you get a good jump on what you’ve wanted for a long time – direction to getting the job you want in the IT world.

   I purchased this book direct from the author 2 months ago, so very surprised to find that it has only just become available here at Amazon. I have read most of the “make money online” type books of which most just spew out the same old dross. Most of these types of books advise the reader to create dozens of low quality affiliate websites simply rewriting content of others, which of course in the long term results in the websites becoming penalised by Google.

   This book takes a completely different approach as it advises the reader to create one large “brandable” website over the course of a year, utilising the reader’s interests or passions. Creating such a website gives those who do so a real edge over most other online affiliates because quality really does matter nowadays for search engines, especially of course Google. The book guides the reader through the complete process of building an online affiliate site, from niche research to brand building with a strong emphasis on the creation of quality content.

   The start of the book details how the author got started in affiliate marketing, stating just how hard it was for him to initially generate income. The rest of the book details the complete process of building an online affiliate website in a step by step manner. I picked up some great tips from the book especially the section on the structure of affiliate websites which I have not seen before which I have already implemented with great success. I also liked the reassurance of the two references from Virgin Games and Market Ace which prove the author is a real online money maker and indeed a top class online affiliate.

   If you are looking for a real guide to affiliate marketing that takes you through your first year building a quality online affiliate website, then this is the book for you.

   Positives
   Easy to follow and jargon free
   A complete step by step guide
   An honest guide to how hard it actually is to make money online
   Great advice on how to structure your website for maximum SEO power
   Emphasises internal SEO and brand building rather than link building
   Contains action plans to keep you on track

   Negatives
   The book refers a couple of times to a dedicated website although the book states that the website will not be online until 1st September 2012. Not a major problem but will be interesting to see the website that accompanies the book.
   No Kindle version!

   Who doesn’t appreciate good advice when starting on a new income strategy? Well here is some!

   I like the way the author details how he became a successful online affiliate at the very start of the book plus the honesty in describing actually how difficult it was. I found the book to be a good read written in an easy to understand manner. Some of the technical aspects are beyond me but I like the fact that the author details where you can hire help at a fair price to get them done. Looking forward to giving this a go!

   I have read multiple books on this particular topic, and I can safely say this one stands out from the rest of them. The author is insightful and presents information in a way thats easy to comprehend. As he states repeatedly, this is not a get rich quick book, but however a guide to starting a potentially successful affiliate career. This book teaches you what the other guys would like you to believe their teaching you. Hats off to the author.
