User-Friendly Guide,
The author goes a step beyond discussing what you can and can’t do with a Web site, and offers practical, understandable reasons why, and specific examples of when a particular technique or technology is appropriate.
Like a well designed Web site, the book is well organized and easily readable. The links to the author’s own website and others are well chosen, adding depth to the subject, and demonstrating an effective way to create a multimedia approach in which each medium plays a specific role, each complimentary to the other.
This is, by far, the best book of its kind that I’ve seen.

Easy to understand and makes logical sense.,
After reading this book, I now see the logic of pausing to plan before jumping in and making something that really won’t accomplish what you want it to or that will cause you to pull your hair out later when you try to mold it to changing circumstances. The way web design is presented here makes it a fun and “ah ha” experience. The generous space in the layout of the book makes it easy to read and it is not so long as to be intimidating. Very well done!
I read it once through taking notes (although it is easy to find things in it later without doing so) and along the way began thinking about how I want to do my website, writing some things down as I went. Other priorities have kept me from continuing with the design but I can see that it will be fun, go smoothly and easily thanks to this book and give me something useful and that will help my business grow. A bonus is that the site will be something that I can be proud of and I will have developed some proficiency in the use and understanding of html and allowed into the mysterious world of the workings of websites.
