Got this for my 10 year old boy. It works great as an introduction to stop motion. Camera is not super great or anything and it’s hard to focus, but works well enough as a kids toy and he has had a lot of fun making movies with it. Easy to install and easy to use, which is what we were going so he could use it himself.

I own both a windows desktop computer and a Mac laptop. While one of the reviews above states that the kit doesn’t work on OS X, I’m happy to report that this product works very well on both systems.

The book is very detailed, contains many illustrations, and is a great resource for both beginning and intermediate animators. The camera doesn’t have the highest resolution available, but the manual focus is a great feature, and it’s perfect for anyone who wants to start animating with a minimal amount of hassle. I’d highly recommended this product for anyone in the 10+ age range.

Ordered this for my kids. Worked great right out of the box but then something happened to the focus and we thought it was broken. Contacted the seller for a return and Nate got back to me immediately and offered to replace it. He actually ended up troubleshooting the problem and his directions worked perfect so now the camera is all fixed and it only took about five minutes! I was very impressed with the customer service and helpfulness and encourage anyone who comes across a problem to let Nate troubleshoot it for you before you send it back! We’ve had a few cameras like this but this has been the best one so far and I would recommend this one over any other camera/software at the same price level.
